The first yacht in the ecHo range, the 85 is a highly capable long distance with a range of over 4,000 nm, giving her transatlantic capability.
The hull is designed (by Humphreys Yacht Design) for maximum efficiency and fuel economy and the high freeboard and patrol-boat style bridge deliberately reflect the 85’s offshore capabilities as an Explorer-type vessel. However, her exceptional finishes, ease of handling and fantastic use of space also make her the ideal cruising yacht.
The ecHo 85 is not meant for everyone. However, knowledgeable yachtsmen will know that a maximum speed of 16 knots is quite adequate most of the time, and if a yacht is efficient and easy to use it is likely to be used more often. Moreover, while cruising the Med is extremely enjoyable, more remote places provide unique experiences and are more of a challenge – you need long range and seaworthiness to reach them.
The yacht is perfect for the owner that is adventurous, environmentally aware and likes form to follow function. Being an individual, you’re also likely to have strong feelings about what really works for you – we invite your input to enable us to build your ideal ecHo 85.
